Hormone  Replacement + Peptides

Hormone  Replacement

Endocrinology studies the specialized glands in the body that control global function and organize our response to the environment and the rhythms of nature.  In Western medicine this typically involves prescriptions intended to replace deficiencies of the hormones produced by the major glands, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary and sex glands. Our practice does test for hormone levels, and prescribes these hormones where appropriate. We also consider the great importance of minerals in the functioning of all the glands — many times mineral deficiencies result in endocrine dysfunction.

Peptides

Peptides

In truth the body is FULL of powerful signaling molecules. Peptide hormones are simply small proteins (chains of amino acids) that are used in the body to communicate specific and powerful modifications of body function and physiology.  They are "short-acting hormones". They do not last long in circulation, and leave no toxic residue that must be dealt with (unlike MOST pharmaceuticals).  On the flip side they can be very potent.  Insulin, growth hormone, and semaglutide are examples of well known peptides. Literally hundreds of peptide hormones naturally exist in the body, accomplishing a variety of results and responses to the environment. Some functions accomplished by peptides include:

  • promotion of healing from injuries (BPC-157, TB4)
  • promotion of gut healing (BPC-157)
  • stimulation of immune function + T-reg cells (thymosin alpha)
  • weight loss (semaglutide)
  • enhanced sexual function (PT-141)

Some of the peptides we have been utilizing include: BPC-157, Thymosin Alpha, Thymosin Beta, Copper GHK, LL-37, Ipamorelin, and Semaglutide.
