Clinic Policies

Primary Care
We are a general Osteopathic and Regenerative Medicine practice. While we treat and address a wide variety of medical conditions, we are not a primary care office in the typical sense. We aren't available 24/7 and do not send reminders for health milestones as per government schedule such as vaccinations, colonoscopies, etc. In our practice, we've found that the best results come from those who are engaged in their own health process. We love to work with those motivated to achieve whole-body wellness and look forward to partnering with you to better your health. As we do not contract with insurance companies, we can't be listed as primary care for outside medical care or procedures.

Payments and Insurance
Ours is a cash practice. As much as we would like to be able to take insurance, the unfortunate reality is that many of these valuable regenerative therapies are either simply not covered, or are too poorly reimbursed to allow the practice to be viable. While we can provide a super-bill for services using current procedural billing codes, no level of reimbursement is guaranteed or even predicted. We do accept HSA or FSA cards as payment if paid in our office. 

Cancellation Policy
To ensure timely access to care for all our patients, please provide 24-hour notice when cancelling an appointment. Outside of actual emergencies, If you miss your scheduled appointment without having given prior notice, a cancellation fee of 50% of the appointment cost may be applied, with a maximum of $200.  We understand that unexpected situations can arise, and we are always happy to work with you.

Rx Refill Fee
Effective July 2024, we are charging a $25 fee for prescription refills without a recent visit (within three months) with Dr. Montanaro. This is standard practice across the industry. There is real work involved in processing your prescriptions and this small fee is to compensate us for that. Please know that we will always provide maximum refills on prescriptions to minimize these charges. 

Communications Regarding Health Issues and Treatment Process
Dr Montanaro’s schedule is full. He does not have time to engage in anything but the most simple communication outside of appointment times. Please know that when he asks for pertinent information to be communicated to us such as blood pressure or body temperatures, or response to treatment, this information will be put in your chart and discussed at your next appointment. This includes lab results. He is unable to engage in a dialogue outside of appointments about medical decision making. The process of advancing your care through our practice is through face to face appointments and occasionally phone appointments when an office visit is not possible.  This is how we guarantee the high quality of care we are committed to providing.

SMS Privacy Policy
Please know that if you need the communications regarding your health to stay secure, understand that there is no way for GMAIL to be HIPPA compliant. If you email us, you are consenting to such communications being at risk for data breach.  Our text, phone and fax communications are HIPPA compliant and secure. Please use these systems if secure communication is required. No mobile information will be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. ​

Contacting Our Offices
As a small practice, we do our best to communicate in a timely manner. If a swift response is needed, text and phone messages work best. Please allow us 48 hrs to respond, and also understand that we mostly do not respond on days when our office is closed, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and after hours.
